National Healthcare Career Network

The AHA is excited to announce that we are working to bring together resources from across the health care Association community to create THE resource for careers in health care.  We’ve devised a national initiative to develop what we believe will be the most comprehensive online recruiting and career development service for specifically for those serving the health care profession.  That’s because it is built for health care professionals by health care professionals.

Our objective is simple: To advance the profession and the professional.

Scheduled to launch in early 2007, the National Healthcare Career Network is designed as an aligned network of membership-group career websites that focus on recruiting services and career development targeted to each respective health care functional area, allowing each membership group to concentrate on the unique needs of their audience.

The individual career sites will feature personal career development resources, services for job posters and job seekers…supported by the power of Network.  Whether you’re visiting the site to further their own career, or to fill an open position in your department, the site will provide the appropriate resources.

Unlike other general job posting and career sites, the National Healthcare Career Network will be a complete resource for our membership and others interested in careers in field.

Following is an initial list of organizations involved in the development and launch:

  • American Hospital Association (AHA)
  • The Institute for Diversity in Healthcare Management (IFD)
  • American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE)
  • American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE)
  • American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES)
  • American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA)
