There are no official coding guidelines for HCPCS comparable to the Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting which currently exist for ICD-9-CM.  For interpretation of HCPCS level I (CPT-4) codes refer to the American Medical Association's CPT Assistant.  HCPCS (levels I, II and III) reporting is dependent on payor instructions and healthcare setting.
