"I am deeply honored to have received the AONE Institute’s 2007 Organizational Innovation Nurse Executive Award sponsored by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. I humbly accepted this honor on behalf of the fine nursing professionals that I work with at Valley Hospital and in the state of New Jersey. Being honored by two of the most professionally respected organizations, AONE and ANCC, provides me with inspiration to continue our quest of reshaping the professional nurse role and work environment to exceed our future expectations. Thank you for this honor and recognition."
--Linda C. Lewis, RN, MSA, CNAA, BC, FACHE, Valley Hospital

“What an honor to have been recognized with the Prism Award. It has been exciting to work with the AONE’s Diversity Committee to move forward on one of the strategic initiatives of the organization—developing diverse nurse leaders. The work that we were able to initiate with the National Association of Hispanic Nurses will help to close the gap in understanding the importance of nursing leadership and it’s impact on the care Hispanic patients receive in the communities they live in and beyond.”
