The American Hospital Association’s membership is made up of institutions, particularly hospitals and health systems. But individuals can belong to one of a number of institutions that are affiliated with the AHA. These are called Personal Membership Groups. Among them are:

ASDVS – American Society of Directors of Volunteer Services
ASHCSP – American Society for Healthcare Central Services Professionals
ASHE – American Society for Healthcare Engineering
ASHES – American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services
ASHFSA – American Society for Healthcare Food Service Administrators
ASHHRA – American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration
ASHRM – American Society for Healthcare Risk Management
SHCA – Society for Healthcare Consumer Advocacy
SHSMD – Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development
